It was an ear infection, that's what the doc said anyway. She said that sometimes kids can have a hypersensitivity reaction to an internal infection and get a rash. I hope she's right. Kirsten's taking antibiotics and Benedryl® now. Poor kid's face looks like a teenager's.

The good news from the doc visit was that Kirsten has gained 1½ lbs in like 3 weeks. I'm so proud of her!
