I've mentioned before that I work on a campus that has been mostly left as nature made it. Last week while walking from one building to another we came across a baby deer. Yesterday, someone snapped a picture of him. Enjoy!

Jacob is on some antibiotics to prevent infection as he heals from his surgery. Since he went back to daycare today, I had to take the antibiotic there so they could give him his mid-day dose. I'm really bad at forgetting medicine I've taken there, and since the weekend is coming up, well, I had to make sure I didn't forget it:

Okay, stop laughing. Really.
Jacob had surgery yesterday morning to get a second set of tubes in his ears and to have his adenoids removed. It went very well, he is doing just fine now. I just had to get a picture of him pre-op. He looked so cute.

He wasn't happy about the wires all hooked up. But he used it to his advantage to flirt with the nurses.
Gah, it is still raining! Granted, we had a great weekend, all the way through Memorial Day. Then in the wee hours Tuesday morning, a thunder storm hit. Hours of downpours, lightning strikes so close the house shook. You know, a normal Floridian summer storm. Then it continued to rain all day long. I think the clouds receeded just before the sun set.
Then Wednesday morning, again in the wee hours, the same thing all over again. Strange enough, it continued to rain all day. Again, we saw the sun for about an hour in the evening.
But Thursday morning, things were different. Well, it wasn't quite as wee an hour, more like 4am. But just as Tuesday and Wednesday, it rained all day. Another hour of sun in the afternoon.
Today, it's pouring. When it stops pouring, it sprinkles rain. Then it pours some more. You know, we here in Florida need the sun. We're used to a certain amount of sun everyday. I'm starting to have withdrawals. I'm getting stir-crazy even. I WANT MORE SUN!!!!!
The forecast looks like we might get a partly sunny day on Sunday, the 12th! Gah!
